I can’t decide if I should feel silly for visiting five of the worlds top-ten tourist traps. I’ve been to 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8. I wanted to visit 10 but it was closed while I was in Dublin.

The Biggest Tourist Traps In The World, Mapped | Digg

From long queues to sky-high souvenir prices, these global attractions might be ones to avoid on your next vacation.

@Brilliantcrank Not what you intended I’m sure, but my takeaway is… digg still exists!?
@skoda @Brilliantcrank also said the same thing, instantly.
Also, these don’t seem like the most interesting places in each state or country, with relief!
@Brilliantcrank yeah, there are some questionable things on that list. I wouldn’t call The Royal Mile or Checkpoint Charlie tourist traps (been to both). Fisherman’s Warf? Sure.
@stickel Yeah, I wondered about Checkpoint Charlie. I get that the actual site is not a trap, but having never been there I don’t know if it’s surrounded by a bunch of tourist crap.
@Brilliantcrank From what I remember, no. It’s in the middle of town so there’s normal restaurants and office buildings surrounding it. There may be a gift store adjacent to it but that’s it.
