BreadAs horrible as that was, that is not LTT’s fualt. Linus even let the kid keep it after being moved by the kid. The fan base apparently had other ideas. It is scary what a bunch of angry internet people can do.

Let’s not move the goal posts here. You said “would you stand and watch” he did not stand and watch. He did say something and told them to stop? What else can he do? Hunt them down personally and make them apologize? It is very unfortunate what happened, but Linus is not to blame here.
I dunno, what would you do if you were a CHILD, being ganged up on by fanboys of one of your idols? NOT be angry at him?

Clearly the kid was upset, but you are avoiding the important part about what Linus could have done to make it not happen. Is there anything at all he could have done to prevent it that he didn’t already try? I am open to hearing what you have to say in that regard as we can learn something from it.
