#Kuching International Airport (#KCH) - built in the 1940s by the British, is the only #international #airport pop the state of #Sarawak.
In 2006, KCH underwent a significant facelift, which included a new #terminal building and an extended #runway.
At present, KCH is able to accomodate #widebody #aircraft such as Airbus A380 and Boeing 747.
#KCH has become the main #gateway to the state for both #domestic and #international routes, handling more than 5 million #passengers per year which makes it one of the #busiest #airports in #Malaysia.
The airport also has a variety of duty-free outlets, retail shops, and dining options.
KCH is also an airbase for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (#RMAF).
