“This should be decided at the ballot box” is such an utterly deranged thing to say when the reason why we are in this situation is that Trump and his enablers didn’t respect the decision at the ballot box and instead engaged in a vast conspiracy to end constitutional government.

"Did this guy do a crime?" is literally the ONLY question that a criminal trial is intended to decide. If it's not for that, it's not for anything.

If right-wingers want to propose that the guy who did so much crime is inexplicably fit for public office, they can still test that at the ballot box.

Except the crimes guy himself. He won't be able to vote, because of the multiple felonies. Also one of their rules. Never heard them asking to change that one before.

@petealexharris @tzimmer_history I wouldn't be totally surprised if the FL legislature passes some magical loophole to felons voting that would only fix Trump's issues, but in FL there'll be loads of white Trumpaloons willing to commit voter fraud to vote for him 2x.
