#RPGaDay23 (15) Favorite convention 1shot.
We played with the then playtest rules of D&D5 on #tanelorn meetup.
PCs were flumphs whose egg had landed in a forest. (According to #pathfinder flumphs send eggs through space.)
Flumph also sounds like the German for smurf (Schlumpf), so there was lots of inspiration. The PCs were Sun Flumph, Magic Flumph etc.
It started with a curious two legged creature stumbling dying into the village.

The body was eaten as is proper and then they set out to inform the creature's people because they were obviously sapient.
They met some shamblers (un-sunny and inedible).
Some short two-legs with big eyes and sharp teeth who were chased by big long eared people with little teeth. The hunters were send the wrong the way because sapients fighting is un-sunny.
Their last encounter before finally arriving at the dead person's village was a mind flayer. Very very un-sunny and quite edible.
