I haven’t eaten inside in a restaurant for a long time. I have eaten outside if it hasn’t been very busy.

Now anyone can be ill serving me, making my food or at the table next to me, I think I’ll cut down even more. Takeouts from the place that masks and takes it seriously.

I wonder if the ending of the mandate will reduce patronage?

@KiwiNikki
We are the same, went to the Boathouse Cafe in Ch-ch on Sunday and had our lunch served outside. We both still wear our masks when supermarket shopping and visiting the chemist, Dr etc.

I used to love eating out and going to gigs. I haven't done either since the mask mandates were removed last year.

@KiwiNikki unlikely to reduce patronage since everyone seems to (incorrectly) believe that COVID is over.
@KiwiNikki I have not eaten in a restaurant since 2019... Very occasional takeout only - and judging by the way everything is going I'll be a hermit forever. Not worth the risk to me.
@PostViralCanis there’s a real opportunity for a restaurant somewhere to have great ventilation, open windows, hepa filters, healthy masked staff… I’d love a great night out risk-free.
@KiwiNikki maybe it will. We only go to places we can eat outside, and we don't do that often. We still mask everywhere else. Now I'm thinking the staff might be fully symptomatic w covid. Not keen on eating even outdoors.
When the rules were stricter I was happy to support places that took covid seriously. Now they are too hard to find.
Good thing our home cooking is pretty good.
