Scott Jenson@annaleen @newscientist Thank you. Given how bad these AI generated scripts are, they are likely a self limiting prophesy.
The usual answer is a somewhat ominous "just give it time". The threat isn't the technology itself but our speculation of where it will go. We have a remarkably bad track record at that.
I'm not saying there isn't a problem. I'm just saying that the current threat is poorly understood and likely exaggerated. This won't stop stupid producers from doing stupid things though
