Waterluvian@TechConnectify I see format wars all the time in software dev. My general feeling is that while there’s always valid merits for various options and perhaps one option is clearly superior, by a colossally wide margin the most important thing is getting everyone to settle on one format.
And in that way I don’t care so much about who wins, just that there’s a clear winner and we’re coalescing towards one format.

With some exceptions...
But I absolutely agree. Especially on something like this where the end user's main pain point won't be the myriad pros and cons of each standard but rather just finding somewhere to charge.
