Climate Coloniality – Dr. Farhana Sultana

Climate Coloniality: The extremely uneven and inequitable impacts of climate change.

Dr. Farhana Sultana
Journalists/writers covering #MauiFires or any of the climate-related disasters would benefit from clearer understandings of connections globally across colonialism, imperialism, capitalism, racism, international development, patriarchy to #ClimateChange. I hope these help but feel free to ask!
@farhanasultana I would venture a guess, unless they were independent reporters working for the "little guy", any inference to a global climate catastrophe due to corporate overindulgence, is probably going to be quashed long before any form of broadcast. It is just not economically prudent to blame such ecological disasters on anything that would hinder profit in its many forms.
@beingextorted sadly therein lies the problem. But there are more and more courageous reporters and writers. And large outlets like the Guardian & others are allowing more such coverage
