Jens Zalzala@SonjaMGFX yes, I moved from visual effects to app development (and eventually running my own company). The transition was surprisingly easy. I found myself spending a lot of my free time coding apps, and at one point realized that I liked it quite a bit more than my day job. As soon as I saw an opportunity to work on an app project I took it, and that was pretty much that.
@anakin78z how do you decide what type of app to make and if it has enough of a USP?
@SonjaMGFX when I started doing it for fun I just made whatever I liked. When I started doing it professionally I did it on a contract basis, not trying to monetize my own apps.
