In theory, #Ukraine needs to do the following to break through the Russian defense lines.
1. Disable the Russian air defense and the RU Air Force ability to operate in the area
2. Wipe out the the RU defense lines with massive air bombing
3. Attack with ground forces
In reality I only see one country that can pull a thing like this off and that’s the US armed forces

@joesticker And every day there are more and more. That Bakhmut nonsense ruined a lot of other opportunities. Someone somewhere didn't do the math right. And the most interesting thing is that they are trying to break through the most strongly fortified section... The result of all this will be either a big surprise or a spectacular failure.

@joesticker they only need to break through in a few places. Defensive lines are hard to defend from behind.

@Nlandersson You can compare this to trying to break trough the Atlantic Wall during WWII. The difference is that you can remove the Air Force, navy and the ability to strike on German soil. That’s what the Ukrainian are up against.
