"The best thing to do with the confederate memorial would be to:
1) Take it down.
2) Melt it down and turn it into solid shot for 3 inch Parrott rifles
3) Ceremonially fire them at Stone mountain or other more difficult to remove traitor's "memorials"
4) Recover the shells

5) Melt them down again and this time sell them as commemorative coins.
6) Use the funds to completely eliminate the stone mountain "memorial"
7) Replace the traitor's "memorial" with a new memorial for all the people harmed when we didn't finish the job crushing the confederacy.

Use it to talk about how "Lost Causers" continued to fight the war by putting up "memorials" to traitors who deserve nothing but scorn, and in doing so set up a mythology that continues to poison hearts and minds to this day.

Or just remove it. Get rid of the damn thing.
