So after sorting my slightly haphazard art sale today I managed to go somewhere very special to me and do something that I haven't managed since before the pandemic 💚

I have all sorts of cameras and film options in the house, but my wee anxious heart needed my favourite camera and lens combination, Sigur Rós, and Ilford Delta 400 - so that's what we did.

Also the Kibble Palace is indeed open to 6pm and they had the windows open for nice clean air, hooray!

@moragperkins Awesome that you had a great day! Great photos. And I really have to ask because I am curious: what is the story behind the man with the monkey statue? All I could think of is that it alludes to evolution....
@chrystynenovack it’s King Robert of Sicily - a king who was cursed to be mistaken for his own jester and live in poverty with a monkey - based on the poem by HW Longfellow https://www.hwlongfellow.org/poems_poem.php?pid=2019

@moragperkins Ah thank you for the background and the link to the poem. I see now the jester's clothes at the feet of the statue.
