BoneHouseWasps🔶🇬🇧🇪🇺@SpockResists I think this is a big tactical error on their part. Despite their obvious lack of critical faculties, speech vs conduct is a very simple to understand distinction, even for Trump stans.
And whether or not the Dems manage to get the proceedings televised (which I doubt, as it's ultimately going to be down to Roberts and SCOTUS), the judge is going to be spell this out very easily.
John Rigsby@SpockResists and that saying something is an action in and of itself. Its not simply speech cast off into the wind to be heard or not heard at others pleasure. His words invoke action. A person gives an order, implied or direct, thats an action. It may be by someone else but its an action, just as a nerve firing is a signal (speech) that moves the finger. "Give me all your money or Ill shoot" said by someone who remains motionless, is both speech and criminal.
