While ACAB, we should focus on truthful incidents. FSM knows there are plenty of incidents of cops entrapping people, we don't need to spread made up stories.

Police are not generally tasked with industrial, commercial or fire safety. That would be the realm of inspectors from the city, county, state or local fire department.

My take: They drove off with it by accident and then went back and told the c-store “You have a very nice gas station. It would be a shame if anything happened to it” and then had to respond to the public because of social media.

@deathkitten @vegetablegremlin And you don’t test like that. It’s not a standardized test. And if it failed, it could result in fire, property loss and even personal injury or death.

Yes, the story about the “trap” is false. But the story the cops gave doesn’t pass the sniff test.
