KickBackCopy pasting the same things onto multiple social media sites feels dirty...
tomyatemo@kickback it's not though. It's like putting a poster of your project in different parts of a city. If I see the same poster in two different parts of the city I wouldn't think much of it.
@tomyatemo If it was about promoting or showing a thing I made, I think your point is valid.
But I wouldn't put a (what I think might be a) semi-interesting thought on a poster, so when I copy paste those I feel a bit weird.

@tomyatemo because there is no way I can post unique stuff to 3 social media sites, even though I kinda try, and there is no point to having any of them if I don't post on them.
@kickback of course, no one posts unique stuff in all their social media. But what to you gain by being active in all of them? :O
@tomyatemo I mean, I'm going to go philosophical here and counter-ask, what do you gain by being active in any of them? :P
@kickback for me it depends. In my personal accounts I get to see what my friends are up to and share with them what I'm up to. In the accounts I use of my projects I get to meet cool people, and feel good by sharing things that hopefully inspire others.
I'm not equally active in all of them. I'm most active in my personal accounts. In the rest I just share things I made, reply to people and comment on other people's things.
@tomyatemo I don't have personal and non-personal accounts, they are all... whatever this is. Maybe that's where the dissonance and discomfort comes.
@kickback it may be, but if you have friends in all your different social media then when you copy and paste a post then you're sharing it with your other friends. I think that's cool.
@kickback in the end just do what's more confortable for you or what gives you more value. You don't have to be everywhere all at once if you don't want to.
