why are we calling it machine learning when we could be calling it stochastic errorism

@mhoye

Even a parrot may have trouble pronouncing errorism.

@mhoye I am at a loss to explain
@mhoye Because the latter focuses too much on the negative side of it? Machine learning, for all its faults, _is_ useful, for disabled people needing access to information that wasn't made accessible the "right" way, among other things.

@mhoye

A professor told me he prefers "machine guessing."
