Most of the high quality RGB scart switches are specifically made for retrogaming needs with a lot of relevant features necessary for the best possible output. Thats why the price is high for such devices, especially if you want to go for a high number of input slots.
There are some low to middle budget non-retrogaming switches with a fine quality. But its hard to identify those without having the opportunity to test them.
