So 57% disapprove of Biden's "handling of climate change" and 71% say they know little or nothing about the Inflation Reduction Act, a law with massive investments in tackling climate change.

One thing I wish Dems had learned from Trump is that you have to brag constantly to break thru.

Most disapprove of Biden’s handling of climate change, Post-UMD poll finds

Less than 3 in 10 Americans say they know a good or great deal about the Inflation Reduction Act, but voters in both parties back some of its climate programs.

The Washington Post
@JoshuaHolland But, would it even be covered if they did that? Trump's every word is constantly amplified by our broken press.

@JoshuaHolland Messaging needs to fit on a bumper sticker.

Or a hat. 🙄

@JoshuaHolland Democrats are more critical of politicians than Republicans. As much as I thought Obama was an excellent president, I did criticize his decisions when I disagreed with them. Republicans idolize their politicians of choice and refuse to even entertain the idea that they could ever be wrong about something.
@JoshuaHolland How about this? Americans grow up, take responsibility as citizens, and learn what in hell is going on in their country.
@JoshuaHolland
Dems can brag all they want, if media/“journalists” dont cover it… if a tree falls in the forest?

@JoshuaHolland
*i'll vote dem

i know about IRA. i also know our public transit & trains suck.
& biden has approved new drilling. some on tribal land. that's a ridiculous thing for him to be doing. we need drastic action, not more fossil fuels

"If the recent trends continue, the Interior Department could issue ~6,000 permits by the end of the year. The last time so many were issued was fiscal year '08, when crude prices [were at an] all-time high of $140/barrel"

US drilling approvals increase despite Biden climate pledge

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Approvals for companies to drill for oil and gas on U.S. public lands are on pace this year to reach their highest level since George W.

AP News
@JoshuaHolland it would help if all the bullhorns weren’t hogged by the other side 🤷‍♀️
@JoshuaHolland also, ever since the last election “red wave” I am overly skeptical about polls.

@JoshuaHolland This is bad polling and worse reporting. Instead of asking if people approve or disapprove of what Biden is doing on climate, they should ask if he’s doing too little, too much, or the right amount. A significant chunk of the people who don’t approve probably would say he’s doing too much.

Also the reporting doesn’t mention that 67% disapprove of Trump’s handling of climate change. An alternate headline is “Biden enjoys 10 point lead over Trump on climate.”

@JoshuaHolland Here is the problem with that number...of the 57% climate change it is 70% GOP thinking Biden is ruining the world by cutting emissions and 30% Dems who think Biden is not doing enough and is a tool of big business.

Where the problem comes in is that the GOP people will vote for Trump even if he is in jail and some percentage of those Dems won't vote for Biden because "making progress" is not good enough.

@MylesRyden I’m not sure that’s true in the Trump era. We’ve seen consistently energized Dems, even when Trump isn’t directly on the ballot. They’ve been overperforming in special elections after doing the same in the midterms. Watch today’s vote in OH.
@JoshuaHolland I agree that it has been 100% better in the last few election cycles, which is great. I hope it will continue!
