No dive today. I’m kind of glad for the break to tell you the truth. I’m not doing anything in there but descent always stresses me the heck out. #HBOT
@ner That's what I missed last time we talked. Are you diving for fun, or for medical reasons?
@FreakyFwoof Ah. So in hyperbaric treatment when they pressurize the chamber, they virtually “dive” to 45 feet. I stay at that pressure for 2 hours and then “surface” over a five minute period. Though it’s not a real dive, they call it that cause pressures are very real. That’s what helps push mor o2 to my body, and helps promote healing, sometimes miraculously so. Descent is the hardest for me because I have to actively clear my ears.
@ner Aah I see. Got it. Very interesting, never been through, or seen anything like that.
@FreakyFwoof It’s pretty fascinating. Like a submarine on dry land. The pressures are dang immense. You’d find this interesting too, sound “sounds” differently at that pressure. People sound louder and closer than they are.
@ner @FreakyFwoof Yikes, sounds scary and super claustrophobic. Glad it works for you though. What are you using it to assist in treating again?
@soundshadow87 @FreakyFwoof Until they put the head tent on, it’s the size of a small room. I can move my arms around etc so it’s not too claustrophobic. Some might be stressed by the space though. I have a little spot on my gums in my mouth that refuses to close. We are hoping to see results in three weeks though my treatments are eight weeks., about.
@ner @FreakyFwoof Oh interesting. Not at all what I was picturing. Thanks.
@FreakyFwoof If I can’t do that I hold up the dive, but until we all can clear ears they are pretty cautious. I don’t want a busted ear drum ya se.
