BigEatieI feel like they changed the character of #Spock way too much from the original series. He seems far more emotional to me, and that lack of continuity breaks some of the immersion for me. However, everyone I've spoken to that watches #strangenewworlds doesn't seem bothered by that, and it's been a while since I've watched #theoriginalseries so I'm wondering if I'm just off?
Torsten Enderling@BigEatie Spock is half-human after all. I think they are doing a splendid job of balancing both the human and Vulcan sides, showing one or the other more over time and I can totally see him going through further development until he ends up the way we remember him from #TOS. I think even back then both sides got their space, but I've also not seen it in a while. I am however not bothered at all, to me he is another interesting character in that show, and brilliantly played.
Good point, and I was also wondering if they will use the pain from the breakup with Chappel to develop his character towards the more emotionless spock from TOS
