Made a chipmunk friend* today. It was just chilling out about 3 feet away from me, figuring out whether I was going to make a move or whether he could just finish up his/her chipmunk business

* I have no idea whether he/she considered me a friend. Probably not. But I like to believe in my heart we had a shared moment and that it was my little buddy.

I'm one of those annoying people who wants to think all animals are my friends just because we existed in the same space for a short time without attacking each other. I take the little joys where I can get them.

@AbandonedAmerica I think all animals I come in contact with are my buddies. Even from a distance. I've been observed in public saying "Hello" or "I love you" to pigeons and squirrels. All pigeons are named "Gary" in my mind. I will not give up this joy for anyone.
