On another note, Jack could get this Protective Order entered and approved and theres still no way the judge jails Trump for violating it.

@ariaflame @w7voa 👏👏👏 But to be precise, I said & continue to say that there’d be no indictment for insurrection and I’m still right. This “J6 indictment” is not for inciting the attack. It is strictly for submitting false electors. Great! But the difference is Trump can still run for office after conviction & be pardoned (insurrection is unpardonable). There are many statutes (for J6 or Documents) that would disqualify tRump using the exact same evidence. Jack chose none of the above. Yay 🎉

@opethminded @w7voa Would probably not be worth the effort considering our relative locations. I'm hoping that Jack knows something we don't. And also that despite the GOP's apparent slavish devotion to a liar that the rest of the country will not wish to make a convicted criminal in jail the president if that's the case. I will point out that Jack doesn't seem to be averse to adding more indictments to various cases as he finishes i dotting etc.

@ariaflame @w7voa Additional charges won’t matter if tRump runs and wins. #14A DEMANDS he not be allowed to run at all, Jack. None of the existing fed level trials will reach sentencing before inauguration day 2025. The same for any new indictment, which isn’t coming.

I’m sure Jack knows plenty I dont. But I do know this, if I wanted to drag ass and make it look good while ensuring nothing was adjudicated before the next presidential election, I’d do exactly what MERRICK has done since day 1.

@opethminded @w7voa Of course there are also arguments that not even 14A applies because the list of specific requirements for the presidency is the only thing that matters. But of course that's never been tested. So obviously the best course, since you can't affect the trial in any way, is to make sure he doesn't get elected.

@ariaflame @w7voa Thats a highly exaggerated MAGA argument thats extremely unlikely to succeed as an “argument….” without inducing judicial laughter. It HAS been tested both after the Civil War and against low level J6 defendants who otherwise qualify for office. The ban on holding office is in the Constitution itself along with those very same Presidential requirements. 🧐How bout that, Joe Rogan? Ahh, I dont know why I’m asking him when he’ll just have Hulk Hogan on to explain why its legit.

@opethminded @w7voa But those offices weren't specified elsewhere in the constitution were they? But in any case I'm too tired to speculate about things that you are right, I have no idea what will happen. But to be honest I don't know that anyone does.
