Did you know that one female dog and her offspring can produce a staggering 67,000 #puppies in just six years?

On average a female dog can have two litters a year with 6-10 puppies. 67,000 figure is based on all puppies surviving to adulthood. (numbers via #SoiDogFoundation, correct as of 30 June 2023)

Of these puppies, more than half will die before they reach adulthood. For those who do make it, they are bound to a miserable life of #suffering.
Every day is a struggle as they live in constant fear of #hunger, #disease, #injury and the risk of #cruelty.

#Overpopulation and uncontrolled #breeding leads to a never-ending cycle of #abandoned and neglected animals.

No #animal deserves to suffer like this.

Sadly, this is the tragic reality for stray animals in #Asia.

One way to help is to support #local organizations to #neuter them and to provide vaccines.

For example #SoiDogFoundation has neutered and vaccinated close to one million dogs and cats in the past twenty years.

Create a kinder world for animals

In Thailand, millions of stray dogs and cats roam the streets and endure a miserable life of uncertainty, fear, hunger and pain. Neutering and vaccination is essential when it comes to ending the suffering of homeless animals. Please make your donation today to break the cycle of suffering.

Another option is to research local organizations and to get them involved.

I'm living in #Bali at the moment and contacted the local vet. We're organising for two young females who had already had litters despite being teenagers themselves to be #neutered and #vaccinated.

The neighbours are helping with the transport, the vet is happy to help and I'm happy to make their lives better and to give them as much as a chance of survival as I possibly can by covering the expenses. If more people could help and do this it can make such a difference. Just think of all the litters of puppies and of the hard life these precious animals face everyday πŸ™πŸΎ

@anna_lillith For over ten years, we took care of two rescue dogs. One of them, Mia, was crippled, and could barely walk - she outlived all predictions and made it to 18 years old, we had to say goodbye just recently (we are still not recovered).

Despite her medical problems problems, she was little work, very relaxed and excellent company. I carried her everywhere in a little bag and she stared at everything with the greatest interest.

Luckily, we still have the other one to take care of us.
