Also, this is a picture of one of the peacocks who is part of the flock that regularly roams the campus at the University of Victoria. I use him when I need to put a portrait-oriented picture in a template.
@trishalynn Those peacocks are VERY intense! Doug and I were walking in Beacon Hill park, when we came across a couple of parents trying to change their baby on a blanket on the ground.
Several peacocks and a peahen approached and began circling the blanket like sharks around a lifeboat, strutting closer and closer (for food or the baby, or both?). The parents seemed a bit terrified, so I tried to shoo the birds away.
They kept coming back, but eventually the parents finished and we all fled.
