Genuine question: Why is EVO still held in Vegas? It's decidedly not a regional major and the city just gets worse every year.

With CEO, I often feel like Jebailey genuinely wants to have major in his home state, which is absolutely fair. Although the last years have been terrible for a lot of attendees (For reasons outside the CEO staff's control).

I don't think anyone involved in running EVO has strong feelings about Nevada.

it's just tradition at this point, the old EVO team knew people in Vegas and had the connections to pull it off.
This current incarnation of EVO, owned by Sony no less, will probably move if the need arises for whatever reason.

@Kashkabald @hundert @MathiasWolfbrok it's not just tradition, Vegas in the summer is still probably the only place with a venue this large that evo can reasonably afford unless it grows considerably.

Before the acquisition, I would agree with you. Right now they could probably afford to move if they wanted to.
