So I am a third of the way into the indictment and, weirdly for a WItChHuNt, by my estimate, every last fucking bit of testimony presented thus far seems to be from Republicans, elected officials or otherwise.

Let's be super-clear about that passage: That was a Republican legal operative who UP TO THIS TIME was totally down with the Trump program, telling a prospective and completely unqualified Trump AG that their chicane scheme to END democracy in the United States would yield a massive spontaneous uprising across the country and the prospective Trumpista AG saying "Yes, that's when we send in the army to massacre those not acclimated to their new fate as meted unto them by Men of Will" and that was a thing that quite nearly happened in the United States, but Civility Liberals still tut-tut us when we call the MAGA movement actual fucking fascists.

The demarcations of fascism aren't difficult to read. They haven't been since that ideology tried to violently destroy civilization because - and this is important - an inexorable load-bearing quality of ultra-conservatism is intolerance and, as I've said before, the praxis of intolerance is unjust and arbitrary violence, both legal (every piece of legislation passed in a red state for the last two years) and extra-legal (every incident of Proud Boys or any other proxy Republican Party martial arm terrorizing or shooting up marginalized communities). When you vote for the one, you vote for the other.
