@delldracula Nice I loved the 6 fingered hand story, leading up to Defenders 100. Good stuff!
@ggadwa I suspect (but don't have the faculties to specifically recall) that you were one of the two or three people on Twitter that appreciated my infrequent allisions to Unnnthinnk and the Six-Fingered Hand!
@delldracula I always appreciate you, though some of it might be comics I haven't read or just absolutely forgot!

@delldracula You know my purchase history is mostly your fault! :)

Will I reach the day when I actually rebought every comic I own? Maybe!

@delldracula BTW this is the 3rd time, I had the floppies back in the day, then I had the B&W essentials, and now this!

There's Marvel Zombies and there's Marvel Suckers.

@ggadwa just count the Essentials as half a time. Then you only bought them 2.5 times!
@delldracula BTW Perlin was always an underrated work horse at Marvel.

@delldracula First couple issues DeMatteis is really pounding us with the feels for Nighthawk, I forgot this part.

I guess he's setting us up before he really stomps on Patsy :) It's kind of funny to read this for the 20th time. My memory is bad, but I know enough of the plot points to see it was carefully constructed.

@delldracula I was waiting for this panel, I always remember it, even after I read it the first time. I wonder how much nebulon get used outside of defenders, I should look that up!
@ggadwa amost zero! He did come back to life (relatively) recently, but I forgot most of the details

@delldracula So this is the first time I've re-read this saga in maybe, a decade? Plus?

The thing that strikes me is how the whole hand bit -- which leads to old scratch himself -- is so single issue focused. Yeah, it's a bunch of demons together but each issue is one and done and really doesn't add to the narrative arc ...

@delldracula ... except the whole teleporting is a problem thing.

It's really old school writing, which, you know, was new school then.

@delldracula Nice job, Don! That's a striking splash.
@ggadwa I have yet to read the whole saga, but that page is permanently burned into my mind!

@delldracula So I think Perlin does an awesome job, though some demon designs are better than others.

But even when I was young, man, I didn't like the satan. It's an interesting take, but, frankly, he's just ... plain.

I like my devils all camp, I guess.

@delldracula Newest Amazing is both good and bad. There's very much a "written by a guy" bachelorette party but then the setup of the next arc isn't bad.

Next issue's story is a Kraven and Goblin Queen team up. Not super interested.

I honestly feel like I'm trying really hard to give Wells points, but I'm trying equally hard to read every issue without preconceived notions.

@ggadwa I was sorting some stuff and found Gog's first appearance. Which I forgot I bought! This Wells stuff is so mediocre and unenjoyable it actually made me FORGET how excited I was tearing through Spencer's run 😭

@delldracula I'm beginning to think the Mary Jane stuff is editoral ... I think they want to spin her into her own super hero book.

No excuse to Wells, at all, but more and more its feeling that way.

@ggadwa it worked out for several versions of Gwen, why not give MJ a shot?

If anyone else was writing, I might be interested 😅

@delldracula So the mysterious Cap Karoka in x-men is another "who is behind the mask." A leading contender? Nazi Cap! That'll make Spencer proud!
@ggadwa but *which* nazi cap?
@delldracula That all white costume is atrocious! Did Bryne design it??? 😜
@ggadwa haha I always assumed it was Sal, but I don't really know

@delldracula I'm just glad I've reached the point in my life where I'm judging super villain nazi uniforms.

The nazis were absolute monsters but they did know how to put together a snappy evil uniform!
