#Ebike update number... feels like about 50.

I'm getting my refund.

Basically #Halfords or rather #Halfrauds utterly ignored the CC company. They were contacted and given 2 weeks to respond... the didn't bother. They were sent the CC indemnity and ignored that too.

Meanwhile... after 6 weeks. Their manager finally emailed to say 'nothing wrong with bike' you need to collect it and get an 'independent report done at your expense'

Nope... not happening.

Those bastards also still have my seat and my grips... but I also still have the mudguards, pannier and pannier bags... and the charger.

@anomnomnomaly Jesus I feel like I got off lightly in comparison when they couldn't fix my postie bike.

I swear, we all do it at some point. We read the reviews, think 'Oh but my local one can't be that bad' and then get proven horribly wrong.

@dutchbarracuda I've bought tools from them over the years and not really had a problem. I still have a 12v tyre inflater from them I bought almost 10yrs ago.

So it's not ALL bad... but would I ever trust them with a bike... FUCK NO!!!

I'm planning on getting the Haibike Trekking 3 https://www.haibike.com/gb/en/electric-bikes/electric-trekking-bikes/trekking-3-high-gb739?id=45500330

500wh battery, 75Nm 250w Bosch mid drive motor... Good for about 70-80 miles

Comes complete with lights, display, pannier and mudguards and is a hybrid city bike rather than mountain bike.

@anomnomnomaly That looks rather decent!

Mountain bikes are overrated imho. Utility and city bikes will last longer methinks.
