A thread. Rewatched the original #Sicario (2015). It is simply a masterful piece of film, a prime example of what happens when you have an all star team in front of and behind the camera.

How did this movie not win every award? (answer: shocking violence). From the very first scene it smashes you in the gut and keeps throwing haymakers until the credits roll.

Director #DenisVillaneuve's last four movies have been some of the biggest blockbusters of the last decade.

In Sicario he blocked every scene for maximum effect. The opening scene in the unsafe house sets the tone for the building sense of dread that spirals out through the rest of the film. The tension never quits. Can't wait for #DuneTwo and #RendezvousWithRama
