I think I am done growing squash

I noticed borer frass coming out of a pinhole on one of my harvested acorn squash. It's bad enough that they have murdered the plants and now they are ruining the edible parts too.by sammille25

@dnc was that portion of squash sitting on the ground? Usually pest entry points are pretty easy to spot. Gotta cut around them! It's the sacrifice we make to be organic, sustainable gardeners. 😀
@dnc Also, there are some organic sprays and substances you can use to reduce these pest problems. I've seen some people use aluminum foil wrapped around where the stem touches ground on winter squash to reduce vine borers. Having multiple connection points for roots also helps. I haven't done too much yet because it's my first year growing these but I try and proactively discover potential issues and prevent it the best I can. Losing crops sucks but its a good learning process
