ps: Jay, In Nov/22, Iger gave creatives back control & management Chapek took away. THAT'S when things started to change. I dislike saying things like "Disney would never".
Disney isn't the decision-maker. Marvel studios was. Other TV series were not made under the same "creative control" that Iger handed back out. THAT's the change you see, I think.
@SuperSideshow @Jayslacks Having said that, I'm really not sure what to say about Secret Wars eps 1 & 2. It's disjointed, unmanaged, and really, really disappointing so far - with plot holes so big that Giant Ant Man can leap through!
For instance (let's start small):
1: Where's the shoulder-mounted-device that allowed Skrull to alter clothing when they shifted? There was no purple glowing that indicated it was in use on anyone.

@jann @Jayslacks your summary sounds about right. I’m kinda surprised to hear that watching episodes back to back hasn’t helped the disjointed mess.
@SuperSideshow @Jayslacks Oh, I def think back-to-back helped it (I did 1 & 2 back to back on Sat, then 3, 4, 5 & 6 back to back Sun).
I just think it was that much of a disappointment.
Mostly I was just waiting for Samuel Jackson to fall & break a hip while negotiating stairs. 😂 Also, LOVED that G'iah becomes #SuperSkrullSupreme - after all, if FF DNA makes #SuperSkrull, then Danvers DNA must make #Supreme, right?!
AND I adore what they did with Sonja! Coleman was EXCELLENT!
