Planetary is a different experience every time I read it.

This time around, as just one example, I’ve realized that three pages in Planetary issue 1 had to have been the inspiration for Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Wars run-up in the two Avengers titles. Those pages could’ve come straight out of Hickman’s Avengers run except for the fact that they appeared in print a decade and a half earlier.
