@speckled_doge are you using the advanced web interface? in the top right of each column - particularly the Notification column - theres a little setting menu where you can enable/disable stuff like noises

@speckled_doge i think it also ties into native browser notifications? so if you go into the web browser settings and find the notifications settings in there, you can find some toggles.

@speckled_doge @Leviamicky Affirming for anyone curious (as I was), it looks like that shows up in the normal (non-advanced) view, too, e.g. "Notifications" on the side → settings menu → "Play sound" under each notification type.

@speckled_doge best bet is to mute the tab. If you are using an app, that will depend on the app itself!
