For a while, my office was 24/7. Senior people grabbed midnight (differential pay) So I got 2pm-10, and 3pm-11. So, during late 80s and thru 90s, I was out of loop for network tv. Somehow, I saw #EmptyNest. #LeeGrant 's daughter, #DinahManoff, AND the fantastic #KristyMcNichol . That theme, #LifeGoesOn , with #Dreyfus . Well. those things burrow into the dna. Thank you. It makes me forever young 💕I am a product of #sitcoms.

@JudyOlo Oh my goodness, this brings back memories!
@Satori
Yes. Testament to the effect music has on us. In my case, sitcoms. I still get a thrill from I Love Lucy theme. Of all, I think That Girl. I was 11 when it premiered. At a Christmas, I got one of those mini reel tape recorders. I used my tape to record That Girl 😊💕😊

@JudyOlo So true! What a great memory. I remember taping things off the tv, too! Some of those theme songs are so catchy, too!
@JudyOlo
So many great shows back then.
@callalily My bro moved to NYC in early 70s for college. Decades later, as he visited back down "here" I showed him the dvd of That Girl, which had a short of the filming on location in NYC. He was so enthralled--- Ann (his wife)- come here, see this--- remember we went ---- they saw places that no longer existed.
@callalily
We were SO LOW tech 🤣 I actually had the little microphone held up to the tv speaker to record stuff. I remember the grill cloth of the tv speaker. Those tv's were massive. Lordy. Years later, I remember spending our entire irs refund on a Sony beta max. It had a wired remote and tapes were $20 for 30 minutes. And a Sears pong game. God, we were stupid. But we were young😊😊😊
