🤔
@nixCraft everyone knows you're not a successful company if you don't have an office building
@nixCraft You forgot to quote the tweet itself in the caption
@nixCraft
It's where they keep the sets for those hip looking backgrounds.
@nixCraft Great question...I guess they need a place to set up their computers...
@nixCraft they have to put servers somewhere
@iambigstan @nixCraft what you just have a cloud right
@nixCraft This is completely contrary to the ideology behind this tool! 😂
@nixCraft They know their product is shite.
@nixCraft they needed it before their product was finished and usable
@nixCraft Good point! Also, this image would be a funny Zoom call background.
@nixCraft
Because its "valuable" the company will be for sale sooner or later....
@nixCraft I used to work for a different enterprise software company. When considering whether to consolidate their offices in Seattle or Bellevue, they basically made the decision based on whether they could get the logo on the building. The sales people say it's important.
@nixCraft
It is a place to mount the company logo on.
@slothrop
@nixCraft never get high on your own supply
@nixCraft Everyone gets their own office but can only communicate to other employees using their own software.
@nixCraft to house the servers

@nixCraft facebook: the metaverse is the future. we love the metaverse

facebook after nobody wanted their shitty no-legs game: actually the only way to live is in an office. also most of you are fired

@chrisisgr8 @nixCraft Who knew people don't want to subjugate themselves to a virtual dystopia?
@nixCraft what's more bothering to me is why they have such a lame #design while having so many people working on the product?
@nixCraft I bet it's a background image
@nixCraft Yeah I know the answer is “the physical servers must reside somewhere” but I’d expect the building to just have some skeleton crew for IT
