This seagull really wanted to crack open the snail shell and had a clever method: it kept flying up and then just dropped it. Eventually the gull reached its goal. It was exciting to watch.

@EyesOnNature Next level: Carrion crows are known for dropping walnuts on streets, and then waiting for cars to smash them. Preferably near pedestrian crossings and other areas in which traffic moves slowly.

Yes that was exactly what I was thinking of! 😄
Obviously the gull wasn't as smart, because instead of dropping the shell on stones, it dropped it over the sand... That's why it took quite a while until it succeeded.
