Who makes/stocks good PLA filament and also sells a sample/variety pack these days?

I so frequently want a bigger variety of colors when printing, and I mostly print small things so I don't go through a lot of filament very fast.

@lytta Probably not going to help you much (if you live where I think you do), but my go-to PLA is KiwiFil. You can get a 'mini mystery box' for variety in small spools: https://www.kiwifil.shop/products/mystery-box-pla-pro-1-75-mm-8x-250-g-2-kg
"Mini Mystery Box" PLA pro, 1.75mm, 8x 250g = 2kg

@koz oh yeah, i am in the US 😂 good to learn about anyway tho!

@lytta In the US, I've heard good things about Fusion Filaments and Protopasta. Fusion I have personal experience with, but only with their ABS, not their PLA. However, it is of the highest quality, and comes in colours and finishes that are not easy to find; if their PLA is anywhere close to that good, I'd _definitely_ recommend it.

Protopasta wins on sheer variety.

@koz ooh i see they sell it in small amounts! i think i've seen their htpla before... if it's innocuous fumes-wise i should get some, i'll have to research 🤔 also gonna keep them in mind for when i need to expand my petg palette

@lytta I think it should be, or at least no different to other PLA. However, this is conjecture: if that's a concern, contact them directly, they're _very_ responsive.

PETG is kind of a new product for Fusion, so I'm not sure how good or available it is.

@koz i started w/ protoposta but i've also just checked out fusion and 👌🏻
@lytta Their sparkly filaments are _legitimately_ pretty. Have some boat pics: this is Geomagnetic Mauve. Pics are of ABS 1.5, which might be a bit more matte than HTPLA, but it should look similar.
