Is a full frame f1.2 lens totally impractical?
Yes
Do I still want one?
Also yes
@jerry *whistles in f0.95 MFT*
@perigrin β€œthe front half of the skin pore is in focus and the back half is completely blended into the bokeh”
@jerry the 17.5mm goes blurry right about my ears but "yes" … it is however almost perfect for my Zoom setup as long as I don't move too much
@perigrin nice. I use a 14-24f2.8 on my z30, which does a decent job of blurring the background and keeping me in focus as I move around. I have been considering a 35mmf1.8 for that to amp up the blur a bit
@jerry I'm using Lumix G9 which isn't known for it's autofocus … and having used the 12-35 leica on it … I can see why. I'm moving back to the fully manual 17.5mm f0.95 voightlander when I remember to take it back upstairs.

Unemployment has significantly reduced my Zoom/Meet time.
