Things that are plugged in draw power whether they are on or not. Un plug. Cut you water temp down. Throw off circuit breakers to rooms not being used..Get LED light bulbs. everything adds up.

@LadyDragonfly It’s worth doing an audit of how much power everything in your home uses, and how long it’s powered for. When you can see these data, which should tally with the consumption figures on your bill, you have the chance to make informed decisions. Time well spent… (edited to fix autocorrect typo)

@LadyDragonfly We are lucky and just bought a solar PV system. It will take seven years to recoup the investment but the effect on daily power costs is dramatic.
