QBittorrent is better though. - feddit.ch

Seed and… seed?
Tor and removed
Shit I just posted that.
Seed and leach that… torrent.
uTorrent (pronounce micro torrent) and micro…. Nevermind…
“i just learned bout piracy isnt it the coolest thing ever let’s tell everyone!”
Da fucks this booollshit.
Just some guy looks like
you’re on the piracy community… what do you expect to see here?
Discussion about piracy? Not memes from 10 year olds that just learned what a utorrent is
Bro I think you moved up a level. I think your seeking the traffickers and leakers, hit men, and back stabbers part of piracy… This is just a small town version of skid row for fiends of entertainment.
Damn, imagine posting about piracy to the piracy community. That’s crazy!
Imagine posting content instead of memes that out you as a moron

Unlike some, I never took off my pirate hat. That’s been me the whole time.

Except for the whole not being alone thing.

Depend on whats on deck! Aye!
I mixed piracy with s couple of tge larger streaming sites for a while. I’m 99% piracy now. (technically have prime video, but don’t watch it)
I use the services I have for unrelated reasons in a half-hearted attempt to support the creators, but I will pirate most viewing media (TV + movies) by default now.

I had access to everything legit and still mainly sailed the high seas. I just prefer to have all the content centralised and local.

My wife used to prefer the streaming apps but she really converted and thought I was a genius when we went for 2 months with constant isp internet drops for hours at a time.

At one point Prime had all of the Star Trek, all of the Stargate shows, the Simpsons, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. That alone made it worth turning on.

These days I stream various YouTube channels on my smart TV more than I open up Prime.

Transmission has been my go-to for quite awhile
Transmission + VPN in docker is the way to go.
Could you link me to a setup guide 👀

Sure thing:

What device are you running these on? NAS?

Not sure yet, just wanted a way to torrent ever since I moved to the US a few months ago
Sorry, this thread is full of fucking puns, and you didn’t make the obvious one.

Trans-missionary?

I’m struggling to thinking of what would be the obvious one?

Transmission into submission?
Transmission and emission?
Nzbget gang here
Prices going up? Password hard to share? Embrace tradition. Return to pirate ship.
Oh, I had her docked and ready, just in case.
I’m taking her out of mothballs to set sail on the cyberseas.
Plex & Sex > Netflix & Chill
Soon to be “Jellyfin & Get it in”
Because of the layoffs or did I miss something else?
Yeah, just speculation on my part. Layoffs plus all the weird features they’ve been putting out lately. Better to have an alternative ready in case something happens.
I switched over to Jellyfin about a month ago. Plex had just gotten too bloated and for me the performance had been getting worse for awhile. Jellyfin feels like the Plex of years past. No nonsense and works really well.
Same all movies and tv went to . Though still using plexamp for music.
How’s the android app and casting to Chromecast? If you know… I struggle the most with casting and controlling casted material as well as scrubbing while casting.

it's not brilliant but then nothing really is. you just get used to it's little quirks.

if you want something that just works use a UPnP media server with VLC

Thanks for the reply. I have used VLC forever and here and there for casting. Mostly it’s my parents using Plex that I’m trying to simplify for them. Not sure if jellyfin would help them lol
Jellyfin to my iPhone, Roku, Fire sticks, and web are all awesome.
oouuuu maybe it’s time for me to decentralize everything.
Do you know if you can run it on a Fire Stick?
Anything that works on Android TV will also work on a Fire Stick.
I have used the jellyfin app on the fire tv stick, its even on the store and works great!
I have jellyfin on my firestick and fireTV. No sideloading required.
I’m still riding Emby, but it feels like they’re also stagnating, with it taking forever(literal years) to implement some seemingly simple features. Too many times have I looked up some desired minor feature just to find out they said on the forums back in 2019 that they’re working on it. That pace might be forgivable if they were a non-profit open-source project, but they ditched open-source a while ago and have paying customers. It’s getting ridiculous.
Yeah for me at least there’s zero reason to use Emby. It’s the worst aspects of Jellyfin and Plex put in one. It’s less polished and user friendly than Plex while not being open source and quickly developing like Jellyfin.
what's the difference between jelly and jam?
I can’t jelly my dick in her.
omg this caught me off guard
