This “honouring emotion” method of regulating Xīn (心) is the hardest of all hard paths because it requires nothing less than interweaving #Qigong with every other aspect of day-to-day life—total mindfulness, regulation, and intent put into every moment, task, and activity, whether work or recreation.
The Classics of the discipline argue that this SHOULD be done anyway, whenever possible; but it’s messed up that nothing less is even an option for me, if I want to remain true to my truest self—after all, if I don’t, what’s even the point?
