Trying out this thing :)

I suck at introductions, But here we go, I'm a European langauge guy, both natural langauges and programming languages, I like silly stuff, and talking with nice people. Fan of reading, and otherwise is a serial hobbyist.

#introduction
@sotolf Top 5 books? :)
@badsynthesis I'm very much a sci-fi nerd, and will weed it down to one book per series:

1. Quarter Share, Nathan Lowell
2. Pandora's star, Peter F Hamilton
3. Trading in Danger, Elizabeth Moon
4. Foreigner, C. H. Cherryh
5. Sidespace, G. S. Jennsen

Probably I forgot a lot of other stuff that I like too, but well, at least right now those would be my favourites.

I also share my reading over at

β€Œ@sotolf I love the railways through wormholes series of books. πŸ™‚

@badsynthesis

@[email protected] @badsynthesis Yeah, it's a really cool consept, I also really enjoy the many characters, and even the weirder ones that kind of feels like they are out of place, or at least many think so, like the sylphen roads :)

@sotolf @clacke Yea they're fun :) Pandora's star is the only one I've read on that list, will need to look up the rest.

Not sure if it's your thing but I really enjoyed Library at Mount Char. Got it as a recommendation when I asked a bookstore clerk for "Lovecraft but without the massive rasism and other crap", and I got it.

"Lovecraft but without the massive rasism and other crap"

@badsynthesis That is an excellent requirements specification.

@sotolf

@clacke @sotolf Thanks, yea I quite enjoy the results so far.

I don't like horror in general, it's that specific kind of horror I can enjoy as long as it's well done. I'm a massive fan of old forgotten gods, lost knowledge etc.
