Iโ€™m old enough to remember when the temperature was not a breaking news story every day.

#ClimateChange is here. Itโ€™s now. Itโ€™s us. Thereโ€™s still time to act, but not much.

@Sheril Nothing makes me lose it more than companies saying they will be powered by x% green energy by 2030. No, the time is NOW and the only acceptable amount is 100%.

If we don't act now and the change we make isn't disruptively radical and significant, it'll be way too late.

@Sheril

I was born in 1967. Global CO2 levels were somewhere around 320ppm.

56 years later we're above 420ppm and accelerating.

I can't help feeling that we've lost.

@Sheril
I wish I was confident that there is still time to act. My fear is that it's already too late. I'm reading that the Gulf Stream is now on the verge of collapse. And see below, too. Given how long it would take for a reduction in carbon emissions to have an impact, it seems we could already be past the tipping point.
@Sheril Yes... I remember that as well. Glorious eighties that were.

@Sheril Americans are taking action - they're turning up the air conditioning.

Brits are taking action - they're flying additional empty planes around.

What more do you want?

@Sheril and the sooner we each start to reduce each our personal and imported carbon release the less the rise will be
@Sheril I remember when news was news and not profit-getting bullshit apoon fed to people in order to satisfy corporate overlords.

@Sheril

There is NO TIME to DELAY!!!

The time to act is NOW!!!

And to continue working on it tomorrow, and the next day, and so on.
