Instead of trying to child-proof the internet we should, get this:

*Have websites for children*.

I'm sure NO ONE has ever thought of something like that.

Ah, one second, I gotta get this call...

Ah, hello, 2000's! Eh? Wait, You mean you had plenty of sites for children!?

@GreyWays I loved Lego.com when I was growing up. Mini games, full games that tied into actual models that you could touch and play with. LOVED IT. My favorite games that I remember were the Alpha team transforming vehicles one. The Bionicle game. Voya nui online. And the Martian attack one with base building. Ugh it was so long ago, I’m having difficulty remembering.

@ArtificerEvan !!! That sounds SO fun! I was mostly on sites like Neopets and Gaia Online, but I remember playing soooo many flash games back in the day!

I really feel bad for kids these days because they're missing sites dedicated to them like we had? Roblox seems to be the closest they have. It's a shame that there aren't sites that exist for kids without the predatory monetization schemes, you know?

@GreyWays Totally agree.

Though it seems that Neopets just might make a comeback. I learned about it from here https://youtu.be/xZCBs7cAf1g around the 3:55 is when the section about Neopets starts
