Reuters reports some Dogbert-esque customer service at #Tesla for owners who requested service appointments for cars that exhibited range well below advertised estimates:
"Inside the Nevada team’s office, some employees celebrated canceling service appointments by putting their phones on mute and striking a metal xylophone, triggering applause from coworkers who sometimes stood on desks."

@[email protected] Extremely stupid. All EV ranges fluctuate widely, not least because *all car ranges fluctuate widely, period* (including internal combustion vehicles), based on driving conditions. Pointless service appointments SHOULD be cancelled, because there's nothing to fix. What do you want, them to take the car & do nothing? As far as ranges go, they're measured by EPA-specified metrics, and #Tesla is one of the few to offer a significant below-zero buffer (e.g. "zero" isn't actually zero)
