Health Is Wealth@Mastodon "did you know you can get notified when we post if you click on the bell button after following?)."... Apologies for the newbie question but where is the bell icon? I've followed you since I first signed up but never seen a bell icon on any account using the Android Mastodon app (v2.0.1)... That I can see. Thank you!
Jenny@healthiswealth @Mastodon It might look slightly different on the app you’re using, but if you tap the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner, it might bring up a menu that allows you to turn on notifications for that user. I use a different app so I’m not 100% sure, but that may be where the notifications option is?
@tiamat271 @Mastodon Hi, thank you for replying! :) Unfortunately it doesn't appear there or in any of the other menu (Featured/About/Post and Replies/Media). As you'd expect, with other apps like Tusky and Fedilab, it appears on the Account pages next to Follow/Unfollow. It's bound to be something simple which I'm missing... But what?... #mastodon #mastodonapp #mastodonappforandroid
@healthiswealth @Mastodon That is so strange! It must be tucked away somewhere, I can’t imagine the developers would have omitted such a useful feature. 🤔 Maybe a fellow android app user will be able to shed light on it. Good luck!
@tiamat271 @Mastodon Yeah could be an Android issue/feature maybe. It shouldn't make a difference (although I'm not an app programmer so can't confirm) but I'm running the Mastodon app on an old Goggle Pixel 1 phone flashed with LineageOS. It shouldn't but you never know. I've checked my Mastodon app Notification settings too and they are all on/correct and currently set to receive notifications from anyone. The mystery continues!...
