As of ICD-11, which was adopted in 2019 & came into force from 1st January 2022, the pathologised diagnosis for being trans is NOT "gender dysphoria", but rather either of :
1. HA60 - gender incongruence of adolescence or adulthood
2. HA61 - gender incongruence of childhood

Just to clarify, it's still valid to use "gender dysphoria" to basically summarise what it feels like to be trans.
However, if you need a medical diagnosis to access care in your country, you should receive one of the above diagnoses, NOT a diagnosis of "gender dysphoria".
If you do, then your medical professional / service is NOT adhering to ICD-11. They're probably instead going off DSM-5 from 2013.

Ultimately I wish that access to healthcare for trans folks were not pathologised & gatekept, but sadly this is pretty much the case everywhere 😞
As that's alas not going to happen any time soon, I'd at least like journalists (especially trans ones) to stop referring to the diagnosis under the older terminology.
Or, if they have to do so, make it clear that there is an older DSM-5 diagnositic term & a newer ICD-11 diagnostic term.

I'm definitely feeling easily irritated today & my autistic tendancy for pedantry is very much apparent at present 
It just annoys me when journalists, particularly trans ones, still use the outdated DSM-5 term rather than the newer ICD-11 one.

@jinna Yep 😞 I've read statements from NHS England basically suggesting that they're not enforcing the use of ICD-11 until April 2026 😖🤦♀️
