Off to the excitingly named neuro imaging department at hospital this afternoon. Requiring a scan is not so good for the nerves. On other hand I am a science geek so will probably be more fascinated by the scan than worried...

Last time I had to use #Edinburgh Royal Infirmary it was still by the Meadows, many years ago (yes, been fortunate). Modern, edge of town campus is huge, glad I was given good directions, so it only took a few moments to orient myself and find relevant department for my scan

Instructed to drink more fluids than usual to flush the iodine marker from my system. Pondering if this means medically I should go have a couple of pints after it's all done...

@Roadwarrior29 I jokingly said pub to nurse and she said actually it's just about flushing the iodine through my kidneys, so that's actually fine.
May compromise and pick up beer to take home. I deserve a treat.
