Rick HassTrying out #Python again and still prefer #rstats but it’s because I’m slowly becoming a dinosaur I think 🤷🏻♂️ I’m sure if I worked more with super big data I’d be willing to persevere but even up to 1 or 2 gigs of data can be handled in R just fine so… #datascience problems…
highway2009@rw_hass python is not better at handling a huge amount of data anyway. By default pandas data frames live in memory. For big data you need spark and other systems alike.
@highway2009 great point. I’m thankfully fully planted in the realm of small to medium-large data but trying to think of my students’s needs. No disrespect to Python but I’m glad I invested in R as much as I have
